Former Minister for women, Children & Social Welfare,Chair National Women's Commission " I live in Kathmandu's Kaath, Chapali V.D.C.1, Budanilkantha above the temple. I know the pain of Kaath women. Most men are polygamous ,some have three wives. Kaath land selling for more money ,so , most men go around on motor bikes ,some on cars. Women work very hard in the house and on the field, carry heavy loads on their backs. Men decide who gets citizenship , which wife or which wife's children...son or daughter...all depends on one man. Ichankunarayan even worse, VDC leader having 13 wives, i met only three of them living together. Man died .No idea how many wives or children got citizenship. Law is in favor of men. We need to enlighten & empower the Kaath women."...
